Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University has a wide array of options for anyone interested in studying the media.

Dwight Brady, Professor of Communication, and Eric Smith, General Manager and Director of Broadcasting at NMU, joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today for the latest installment of NMU Wildcat Wednesday.

Brady talked about many of the different programs under the umbrella of the Communications And Performance Studies Department, including new media studies, broadcast writing and production courses, theater and performance classes and more.

Smith joined in to talk about all of the hands-on learning opportunities students in the program have through NMU’s Public Broadcasting television and radio stations as well as the student media groups.

Both agreed that studying the full range of the media and how it works combined with the hands-on opportunities for students makes Northern Michigan University a perfect choice for anyone interested learning more about the field.
