MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The annual golf fundraising extravaganza benefiting the Beacon House is just over a month away, but there is still time to get a team together.
The Beacon House, a community-supported housing facility for people, or their families, coming to Marquette for medical treatment located on Third Street in Marquette is hosting the U.P. Celebrity Golf Classic next month.
Mary Dowling, Director of Development at the Beacon House, joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to chat about the event.
She explained the outing will feature a mix of local, regional and national sports and entertainment celebrities coming to Marquette on June 25th & 26th to play with local teams at the Marquette Golf Club.
Dowling also talked about the services provided at the Beacon House, how it is funded and what opportunities there are for you take part in this event.
All proceeds raised will go to pay for the day-to-day operations of the Beacon House.
