Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The MARESA AmeriCorps program is partnering with several area groups, including the Lake Superior Watershed Partnership and the Moosewood Nature Center this weekend for some special community improvement projects.

Students and community members are joining forces to construct Nature’s Discovery Area at the Moosewood Nature Center and do restoration work on local Lake Superior beaches.

AmeriCorps Representative Diane Jarvi and Moosewood Nature Center Executive Director Andrew Bek joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike this week to outline the effort and encourage folks to still consider signing up to help out.

Interested people can still join up by meeting just before 9:00 a.m. at the MARESA building at 321 East Ohio Street in Marquette this Saturday.
