Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The 3rd Annual “Run for Life” is coming to the Ellwood Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette this weekend.
The event features a 10K and 5K run, an adult walk and a kid’s run and is designed to promote organ donation.
The events will get underway with registration at 8:00am and the race start at 9:00am this Saturday.
Event organizer Amy Harju joined the SUNNY Morning Show to promote the event and encourage listeners to take part in this new outdoor activity.
Harju, who is a recipient herself of an organ transplant, explained how to take part and register and celebrate life that is given when we donate organs.
All proceeds raised at the event will go to help transplant patients and families with medical expenses.
