Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter, or UPAWS, is featuring a program to get folks to adopt a furry feline friend.

Ann Brownell with UPAWS joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about the “9 Lives for 9 Dollars” promotion going on June 14-22 where you can adopt a cat at the shelter for $9.00.

She also talked about the 5th Annual UPAWS Rummage Sale and how you can donate items to help the homeless animals.

Also, before Ann left for the day, she presented a special recognition plaque to SUNNY FM for all of the support given to UPAWS over the years…to which we say thanks and “Aw shucks, Ma’am.  Weren’t Nothin'”
