Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Polls have now closed across the state and early numbers are indicating a good night for incumbents.

With less than 10 percent of precincts reporting, incumbents in all of the major races (Governor, Secretary of State and Attorney General) are leading over their respective challengers.

The Michigan Radio Network says their numbers are showing a lead by Democrat Gary Peters over Republican Terri Lynn Land in the U.S. Senate race.

On a national level, early projections are indicating that the Republicans will retain control of the U.S. House.
