21st Century Infrastructure Commission

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A special town hall meeting is being held tomorrow at Northern Michigan University in Marquette focusing on infrastructure needs in the state.

Governor Rick Snyder will be hosting the 21st Century Infrastructure Commission listening session.

Northern Michigan University’s Vice President for Finance and Administration, and commission member, Gavin Leach joined News Director Walt Lindala this morning to chat about the meeting.

Leach said the commission was created by Snyder and is identifying ways to modernize Michigan’s transportation, water and sewer, energy, and communications infrastructure over the next 30-50 years.

He added that residents are encouraged to attend and provide feedback on the effort.

The session is being held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Room 1100 of Jamrich Hall.
