Dark Stores Issue Focus Of New Documentary Premiering This Week

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette County Citizens for a Fair Share and Save MQT, Save MI will be hosting the showing of the documentary “Boxed In” on Wednesday, August 24th in the Community Room at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette at 7:00 pm.

B.R.I.T.E. Stores Initiative founder Brian Kerrigan and the producer of the film, NMU Professor Dwight Brady, joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about the documentary and the B.R.I.T.E. Stores effort.

Brady, who produced the film with 14 students from Northern Michigan University, said the half-hour documentary will be shown along with a brief presentation with a reception to follow.

He added that the broadcast premiere will be on Thursday, September 1st, at 8 pm on WNMU-TV in a program called, “Boxed In—A Media Meet Special Report.” It will be broadcast again on Friday, September 2, at noon.

Kerrigan shared information about the B.R.I.T.E. Stores initiative and the history of the effort as well as how to find out more about getting involved in the campaign.
