Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The 13th Annual Marquette Area Blues Fest is happening this weekend at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in downtown Marquette.

Marquette Area Blues Society President Mark Hamari and Festival Entertainment Director Mark Stonerock joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to preview the weekend’s events and performers.

Hamari shared the full schedule of the weekend, including the Free Friday Night Show that starts at 6:00 p.m., sponsored by Honor Credit Union and the Ore Dock Brewing Company.

Stonerock talked about the weekend’s lineup, which feature blues performers of all styles coming to Marquette.

Headliners include JW Jones, The Ghost Town Blues Band, Victor Wainwright & the WildRoots, The Kinsey Report and Samantha Fish.

They also talked about the food and merchandise vendors, beer tent and workshops attendees can enjoy all weekend.

The festival starts off Friday evening with gates opening at 5:00pm and music at 6:00pm.  On Saturday and Sunday, the gates open at noon and the music starts at 1:00pm.
