Marquette City Commission To Hold Hearing On Budget And Discuss NMU Land Swap

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette City Commission has a regular meeting coming up tonight in Marquette.

Marquette City Manager Mike Angeli joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to preview the session.

Angeli said a public hearing is scheduled at the meeting on the proposed Fiscal Year 2017 City Budget.

The Commission will also be discussing a land swap agreement with Northern Michigan University related to the building the city’s new Municipal Service Center on Wright Street.

Later in the interview, Angeli also shared some of his thoughts in light of the damages incurred at the Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette after heavy rains hit the area on Saturday during the the U.P. Fall Beer Fest.

The meeting begins tonight at 7:00 o’clock at Commission Chambers at City Hall in Marquette.
