VA Hospital To Hold Town Hall Meetings To Provide Vets With Information

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain will be hosting two Veteran Town Halls in Marquette and Ishpeming on Thursday, March 12th.

    Public Affairs Officer Brad Nelson joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to invite veterans and their family members to attend these sessions.

    Nelson said the meetings will feature information on several programs and services offered through the Veterans Administration and will also explain how an eligible vet can sign up.

    The first town hall will be held at 1 p.m. at the Ishpeming National Guard Armory in Ishpeming and the second will be held at 4 p.m. at Jamrich Hall on the Northern Michigan University campus.

    Nelson also talked about some other VA benefits and services, including the new Veterans Choice Program, available to veterans throughout the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin.
