Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Crews in the City of Marquette are continuing the work of the moving of three large engines from the the lake shore to the construction site of the Marquette Board of Light and Power’s new Marquette Energy Center.

Marquette City Manager Mike Angeli joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about the project and the planned move of the massive reciprocating internal combustion engines from Lakeshore Boulevard near Wright Street.

Angeli said Lakeshore Boulevard will remain closed until Monday at 6:00 a.m. and Wright Street will have some traffic disruptions overnight tonight and tomorrow as the engines are moved from Presque Isle Avenue to Ontario Avenue.

The moves will be done between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 am each day.

Angeli said temporary detours will be in effect as the moving progresses along Wright Street, and Marquette Police will be assisting with traffic control.
