Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University’s Forest Roberts Theatre is presenting “Little Shop of Horrors”.

Cast member Marty Martello and technician Shane O’Connor joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike this week to talk about the show.

They described the play as a gleefully gruesome musical spoof of the well-known 1960 Roger Corman film and this monster musical is about a hapless florist shop worker, Seymour, who offers his tender love and care to a plant that feeds on human blood.

Martello, who plays Mushnik the Florist, says the show has been a fun show to be a part of and is a production he has wanted to be in for a long time.

O’Connor is one of the crew operators of Audrey II, the plant named after Seymour’s secret love, and says the technical work to make Audrey II come to life has been a fascinating experience.
