Dead River Derby Back In Action This Weekend In Marquette

Phee Nix and Glory Sparks

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Dead River Derby rolls back into Lakeview Arena this weekend in Marquette.

Derby girls Phee Nix and Glory Sparks joined Great Lakes Radio’s Mike Plourde to preview the bout and invite the community to come down and support the team.

The derby dames explained that the Dead River Derby’s Superior Sirens will play against the Kingsford Krush Saturday evening.

Doors open at 5:00 pm and the bout starts at 6:00 pm.

They added that this is a family friendly event, and a bounce house will be provided for children.

Wild Blue Barbecue will be vending food and there will be beer, wine, soft drinks, and merchandise available for purchase.

Tickets are $10 at the door and children 12 and under are free.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to UPAWS.
