Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow checked in on the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to recap a recent stop in Marquette for a workforce discussion at Northern Michigan University’s Jacobetti Complex.
Stabenow said the discussion focused on how to better fill the demand for skilled workers in Michigan and provide professional career and training opportunities for students who don’t choose a four-year college path after high school.
She added that the conversation also talked about options for workers who want to be retrained for new jobs.
The meeting was with local business and labor leaders, Northern Michigan University, educators, and parents.
