Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Beacon House is preparing for Marquette’s first ever comedy roast next week.

Andrew Lorinser, Beacon House Public Relations Manager, and roaster Sam Ali of ABC 10 and CW 5 UP joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to invite all to a grilling of one of the Upper Peninsula’s most beloved entertainers, Bill Digneit.

Lorinser said the roast of Digneit will take place at the Red Room Theatre in the U.P. Masonic Center in Downtown Marquette at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday,  November 30th.

Ali said he’s looking forward to to skewering the Double Trouble DJ and Forest Roberts Theatre director, but also talked about why he is doing the event to support Bacon House.

Lorinser said the event is loosely modeled after Comedy Central specials, and is intended for an adult audience, 18 years and up.

Tickets for the no-holds-barred comedy roast are $35.00 and are available at upbh.org/roast, and at the Beacon House.

All proceeds from the evening benefit Beacon House.
