Marquette City Commission Filling Vacancy Tonight By Special Appointment

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette City Commission is selecting a person to fill a vacant seat on the Commission tonight.

The Commission will be appointing a resident to fill the remainder of the term of former Commissioner Sara Cambensy, which was vacated after she was elected to serve in the State House of Representatives in a recent special election.

Marquette City Manager Mike Angeli joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to preview the meeting and talk about how the vacancy will be filled.

Angeli said the meeting, which is scheduled for 6:00 o’clock this evening at City Hall on Baraga Avenue in Marquette.

He added that the person who is selected will be seated on the Commission immediately.
