Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A new support group for area teen girls with Type 1 diabetes is holding their first event this weekend in Marquette.
Sarah Balko, RD, CDE and Chris Plourde, RN, joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about the group and the activity.
They said the group, called T1G, is a non-hospital sponsored activity to get teen girls with Type 1 diabetes active with other teen girls with Type 1 diabetes.
The group is hosting a snowshoeing activity this Sunday, January 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Presque Isle Park and all are welcome to come out and get active active and learn more about the group.
