Traditional Native American Pow Wow Returns To Northern Michigan University This Weekend

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – This weekend marks the 20-th Annual “Learning to Walk Together” Traditional Pow Wow on the campus of Northern Michigan University in Marquette.

The event is presented by the Native American Student Association at NMU and is a celebration of Native American culture, art, food and more.  The two-day event is this Friday and Saturday at the Vandament Arena at NMU.

April Lindala, Director of the Center for Native American Studies at NMU joined Mike Plourde on the SUNNY Morning Show this week to promote the event and encourage listeners to come and take part in this unique cultural event.
