Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The 15th Annual Marquette Area Blues Fest is just over two weeks away, and the call is out for volunteers.

Marquette Area Blues Society President Mark Stonerock, and his wife Dawn, who serves as the Festival On-Site Volunteer Coordinator, joined the Sunny Morning Show today to encourage people to buy a ticket to the show and sign up to become a volunteer.

Dawn said that the volunteers are who really make the event run smoothly, and if you sign up to work one shift during the weekend, you will receive a free commemorative 2018 Festival T-Shirt.

She added that if you work two shifts at the event, you will be reimbursed for the full purchase price of your ticket, making the whole festival free for you to enjoy!

Mark talked about some of the high points of the weekend’s entertainment lineup and more and encouraged all to visit the festival website for all of the ticket and showtime information.

He added that tickets are available online through Northern Michigan University Ticket Services and can be ordered by phone by calling (906) 227-1032.
