Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University is gearing up for Homecoming 2018 and we have all of the details.
Marina Dupler, Assistant Alumni Relations Director at NMU, joined the Sunny Morning Show today for Wildcat Wednesday to preview all of the activities scheduled for September 21st & 22nd, 2018.
Dupler talked about the scheduled bronze Wildcat statue unveiling and dedication near Jamrich Hall in the academic mall at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21st.
She added that the dedication will be followed at 4:00 p.m. with a special screening of “Put Your Hand on the Line” at the Forest Roberts Theatre.
Dupler said the documentary highlights the 1975 championship NMU football team will officially premiere with this free showing, with members of the ’75 team in attendance.
She also talked about some changes to the usual schedule, including the parade being held on Saturday afternoon this year, instead of Friday evening.
Dupler said the parade will reverse it’s usual route and will be on Saturday, September 22nd at 2:00 p.m. and culminates at the Superior Dome for tailgating before the NMU Homecoming football game vs. Ferris State, slated for 4:00 p.m.
