Fire Prevention Week Coming In Early October

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The annual Fire Prevention Week and Static Display activities are coming soon in Marquette.

Marquette City Fire Department Cpt. Jeff Green and Engineer Dan Pruner joined The SUNNY Morning Show today to talk about the annual static display and other information related to Fire Prevention Week.

Green said the static display is on Saturday, October 6th and Fire Prevention Week starts on Sunday, October 7th.

The static display features fire trucks from around the county and a parade in Marquette.

Pruner and Green also talked about the importance of working smoke detectors and other tips to increase fire prevention and safety.

The static display begins on the 6th, at 11:00 a.m at Harlow Park in Marquette.
