Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Cody Mayer, a junior at Northern Michigan University, has a announced a run for the Marquette City Commission.
The 21-year-old is the current President of the Associated Students of Northern Michigan University student government body and he joined the Sunny Morning Show today to talk about why he is running for the Commission.
Mayer said has been living in Marquette during his student career at NMU, and he sees some key issues that need to be addressed to keep the city’s future viable.
He shared his thoughts on job creation, affordable housing, infrastructure improvements and protecting Marquette’s natural beauty.
Mayer also talked about why he is running and why he decided to get involved in the process.
