Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Preparations for the annual running of the UP 200 and the Midnight Run sled dog races are on track.
Ross Anthony, Board Member with the Upper Peninsula Sled Dog Association and start/finish coodrinator of the race, joined the Sunny Morning Show today to preview the weekend.
Anthony said the UPSDA has opened race headquarters at the Holiday Inn in Marquette and the musher banquet and bib draw will be held tonight at the hotel at 6:30.
He added that the annual starting ceremonies are set for 6:30 p.m. tomorrow in Downtown Marquette with the first UP 200 sled dog team out of the gate at 7:00 p.m.
Anthony said the Midnight Run will also start in Downtown Marquette at 8:30 p.m.
