Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette County Cares coalition is hosting an event tonight in Marquette to show parents how to spot substance use in their children.

Kelly Sager, Regional School Health Coordinator with MARESA and Officer Nate Dawson, the Youth Service Officer for the Marquette Police Department, joined the Sunny Morning Show today to talk about the “Hidden in Plain Sight” room being presented.

Sager said the presentation will feature a mock room set up to look like a teenager’s bedroom to teach parents about ways in which kids hide their using.

Dawson said representatives from the Michigan State Police and county and city officers will be available to answer any questions parents may have.

“Hidden in Plain Sight” takes place this evening at 6:00 o’clock at the MARESA building at 321 East Ohio Street in Marquette.
