MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Commissioner Jason Schneider joined the SUNNY Morning Show today to discuss the bulldozing of the public bog walk located near The Moosewood Nature Center near Presque Isle Park in Marquette.

Commissioner Schneider agreed to discuss the issue as there has been a significant negative reaction to the perceived destruction of a public nature area.  The bulldozing is actually connected to the project to extend McClellan Avenue to Wright Street in the city and is being ordered as a wetland mitigation by the michigan Department of Environmental Quality.

Commissioner Schneider discussed his reactions and public comments he has heard related to the somewhat surprising developments at the area.  He also talked about the background of the project to give reasons for why it is underway.
