MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News ) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is encouraging residents to use common sense and be safe with any burning they do this spring.
As part of Fire Prevention Week efforts, DNR Fire Prevention Specialist Paul Kollmeyer chatted with Great Lakes Radio News Director Walt Lindala about tips and tricks to use fire safely and prevent any wildfires.
Kollmeyer also discussed the need for burn permits if anyone plans on doing any brush or spring cleanup debris burning, and how to get one.
