Les Wong, Northern Michigan University’s 13th President, Says Farewell

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University’s 13th President, Dr. Les Wong, is in the process of wrapping up his time in the Marquette area and preparing to assume the Presidency at San Francisco State University.

President Wong took some time out of his busy transition schedule to stop in on the SUNNY Morning Show to talk about his time at NMU and what he expects of his future at SFSU.

Dr. Wong discussed what he feels were the high points of his tenure at Northern, including increasing the university’s status in the local community as well as the technological advancements promoted by the school.

He also mentioned that he was proud of having two standing Presidents visit the campus while he was at NMU and felt the university was poised to lead the community both educationally and economically into the next decade.
