State Police from the Iron Mountain Post were called out to a single-vehicle accident yesterday afternoon in Dickinson County’s Sagola Township. Troopers say a car, driven by 59-year-old Russell Westman of Iron River, was westbound on M-69 just after 4:00 p.m. central time. Westman drove through the intersection with M-95, went into the ditch, over an embankment and came to rest west of the adjacent railroad tracks. Westman’s passenger, 79-year-old Grace Westman, was ejected from the vehicle. Both were taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment. There is no word on their condition at this time.
