Negaunee, Michigan– The Miners snag an offensive rebound to score on the first possession of the game, taking an 2-0 lead. With 4:44 left in the first quarter, the Patriots hold a 3-2 lead. Negaunee breaks the scoring drought, dropping a 3-pointer and taking a 5-3 lead. The Miners hit back-to-back 3-pointers to jump ahead 8-3. Tanner Uren connects on a 3-pointer off the pass from Brock Weaver to give Negaunee a 11-5 lead with under two minutes left in the opening quarter. Weaver scores to push the Miner lead to 13-5.

First quarter:

Negaunee: 14 Westwood: 5

Westwood hits a 3-pointer to start the second quarter scoring while cutting the Miner lead to 14-8. Tyler Jandron scores on back-to-back possessions after stealing the in-bounds pass. The Miners build a 20-8 lead as both teams have reentered their starting lineups. Jandron scores again, as Negaunee holds onto their 12-point lead. Weaver hits a hook shot, as Negaunee takes a 15-point lead. The Miners are up 27-10, as the first half nears a close.

The Patriots won 3-of-4 games before their loss to Negaunee.

Negaunee: 27 Westwood: 10

The Patriots get on the board first in the second half of play. The Miners respond as they lead 29-14 with over six minutes to play in the third quarter. With four minutes to play in the quarter, the Miners are up 29-16. Negaunee calls a timeout as they look to regroup their offense. Tanner Uren nails a 3-pointer to put the Miners back up by 16 points. Jandron hits a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession as Westwood calls a timeout. With two minutes left in the third, Negaunee holds a 36-18 advantage. With 45 seconds left in the third quarter Negaunee has built a 23-point lead.

Third quarter:

Negaunee: 43 Westwood: 20

Westwood hits a pullup jumper to score first in the first but Tanner Uren responds with a deep 3-pointer as the Miners lead 46-22. Jandron hits the fast-break lay-up to score his 16th point of the game. Negaunee has pushed their lead to 30 points as both teams turn to the bench for the final half of the fourth quarter. With just over three minutes left in the game Negaunne has a 27-point cushion.
