Negaunee, Michigan– Eric Lori gets the Miners on the board first, after converting a lay-up from Tyler Jandron’s steal. Negaunee scores again, jumping ahead 4-0. With five minutes left in the first, Tanner Uren scores, giving Negaunee a 6-2 lead. Tyler Jandron scores, pushing the Miner lead to 9-2. The Mountaineers call a timeout after falling behind 13-5, with three minutes to play in the opening quarter. Tanner Uren attempts to throw an alley-oop, instead draining the 3-pointer, as the Miners extend their lead to 18-5. With 1:30 left in the first, the Miners have opened up a 16 point lead.
First quarter:
Negaunee: 21 Iron Mountain: 10
Both teams trade buckets to being the second, leaving Negaunee with a nine point advantage. With 5:30 left in the second quarter the Miners hold a 23-14 lead. Eric Lori hits a long two pointer, as Negaunee holds onto their double-digit lead midway through the first half. Iron Mountain has cut the Negaunee lead to six points with three minutes left in the second. Negaunee is up 28-23 with 2:23 left in the half. The Mountaineers have cut the Miners lead to three points. Brock Weaver gets the block that leads to the Eric Lori lay-up as Negaunee goes back up by seven points. The Miners end the second half on a 7-0 run capped by a Eric Lori 3-pointer, extending their lead to double-digits.

Jandron starts the second half with a steal and a score as the Miners go ahead by 12 points. Negaunee leads 38-27 in the early part of the third quarter. With 5:40 left in the third quarter, the Miners are ahead 39-29. Tanner Uren drains a 3-pointer as Negaunee extends their lead to 15 points and forces a Mountaineer timeout. The Miners are pulling away as they lead by 18 with 3:15 left in the third. With 1:30 left in the third quarter, Negaunee is up 53-37.
Third quarter:
Negaunee: 53 Iron Mountain: 39
Negaunee is clinging to a 12-point lead as both teams battle it out in the fourth quarter. With 6:30 left, Negaunee hits a 3-pointer to reclaim a 15 point lead. Uren sinks a pair from the line to keep the Miner lead at 15, with 5:43 left in the game. With four minutes to play, Negaunee has the ball and a 14-point lead as they look to fend off a comeback attempt by Iron Mountain. The Mountaineers are unable to crack the double-digit lead as both teams continue to trade buckets, giving Negaunee a 16 edge. Brock Weaver drops in a pair from the charity stripe, as the Miners are two minutes from wrapping up a perfect season at home.
