Sunny.FM. for the third game of the 2013 high school football season.  The Miner’s traveled to Gladstone to take on the Braves for their first away game of the new season.  Hope you enjoy this recap of the game’s highlight moments when the Miners took on the Gladstone Braves during Friday Night Football in Negaunee on Sunny.FM!

The Negaunee Miners kicked off to Gladstone as they started the game.  Negaunee didn’t waste any time striking as Tyler LaJoie scored the first touchdown of the game as soon as the Miner’s got the ball. Ryan Sirjaala followed up with a 2-point conversion and started the first quarter at 8-0 Negaunee!

At The End of The First Quarter:
Neguanee Miners: 8
Gladstone Braves: 0

Football Night in Negaunee in Gladstone on Sunny.FM!  During the second quarter Zane Radloff made an awesome tackle single handed. His status as the tallest player on the field gave him a great advantage in this game!  The Miners offensive line did well and created lots of holes for their runners, a strength that earned Negaunee another touchdown by LaJoie and then the first touchdown of the night for Tyler Windhall.  This brought the score in the second quarter to 24-0 Negaunee!  The Miners defensive line dominated over Gladstone and the Braves were unable to score in the first half of the game. Other notable plays were made by Ryan Sirjaala who made 3 complete passes!

At The End of The Second Quarter:
Negaunee Miners: 24
Gladstone Braves: 0

Football Night in Negaunee from Gladstone here on Sunny.FM!  The Neguanee Miners started strong in the third quarter with a 50 yard touchdown by Tyler LaJoie! LaJoie almost made a second touchdown by breaking free from an attempted tackle and running into the end zone however, the play was called back so no points were awarded this time. Before the end of the third quarter in the Negaunee vs Gladstone high school varsity football game, Zack Harsila was able to run the ball in for Negaunee and widened the gap to 38-0!

Gladstone Braves: 0

Football Night in Negaunee from Gladstone on Sunny.FM!  The fourth quarter started with a running clock which made for an early finish to the game.  No further points were scored and the game ended with another win for the Negaunee Miners and a final score of 38-0. Congratulations Negaunee! The Miners have made a strong start so far in the 2013 high school varsity football season going undefeated for their first three games
