Negaunee, MI – The 6-1 Negaunee Miners will be looking to get back on track tonight vs. the Marquette Redmen.  The Miners are coming off of their first loss last week in Ishpeming, losing 28-24 to the Hematites.  Marquette is coming off of a bye week and has had much more time to prepare for this contest against the Miners.  The winner of this game, as always, will be awarded the Diamond Jubilee Trophy.  As a former player, there is no better feeling than raising that trophy at mid-field and celebrating with your teammates, and I’m sure both coaches are preaching the same to their players.  Both teams have secured a playoff spot and are now in the business of trying to acquire as many “playoff points” as possible, and hopefully secure at least one home post-season game.

Be sure to tune into SunnyFM or listen LIVE on our website:  Sunny.FM for all of your Negaunee Miner football action.  I will have the call with my partner Jesse Anderson tonight.  Kickoff is @ 7pm EST & pre-game starts at 6:30.  GO MINERS!
