Any good hockey team needs players who can score, a goalie to stop the puck and muckers & grinders to get in the corner and in front to do the dirty, gritty work that will lead to a goal.

Mucker & Grinder ready for hockey!

This year, Sunny FM has their own pair of muckers & grinders who will be covering six home games for the Negaunee Miners high school hockey team. Dennis “Mucker” Harold will cover the play by play action and Glenn “Grinder” Andrews will provide color commentary and between period stat recaps. Both have hockey playing experience and are long time NHL fans of their prospective favorite team.

Glenn Andrews played defense for the down state Trenton Trojans and several years of intramural collegiate hockey. Locally, he has been involved with the Marquette Electricians for 14 years as Chairman and working as housing coordinator.

Dennis grew up in southeastern Ohio, goaltending for the Marietta club street hockey team. His freshman year at St. Vincent College, he was back up goalie for their club ice hockey team. Before moving to the U.P., Dennis played goalie for two years on a pick up in-line hockey team in Petoskey.

Dec. 12 @ Marquette

Jan. 13 vs. Jeffers

Feb. 6  vs. L’Anse
