MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City police are continuing their investigation into the homicide of a Marquette resident in the City of Detroit.

Marquette Police were contacted Thursday by Detroit Police about the investigation into the death of a body found in an abandoned apartment building in the city.  Detroit Police say the victim had been murdered and his identity was unknown, but a pickup truck found parked near the crime scene was registered to a Marquette resident.

Marquette Police attempted to contact the owner of the pickup truck, but due to the owner being out of the area on a fishing trip, the owner was not located until Sunday.  The owner of the truck was able to give police a name of the person who had borrowed the truck. Family members confirmed the identity of the victim as 21-year-old Antone Adrian Ramos.  He had borrowed the pickup last week.

Marquette Police are working with Detroit Police on the investigation and anyone with any information related to this case is asked to call them at 228-0400.
