Attorney General’s Public Forum In Marquette On MGH Sale To Duke

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Michigan Attorney General’s Office held a public forum yesterday in Marquette on the proposed sale of Marquette General Hospital to Duke LifePoint.
Members of the Attorney General’s Hospital Sale Review Team and representatives of Marquette General and Duke LifePoint met with interested members of the public to discuss the plans for sale. The proposed sale requires approval by the state Attorney General to determine if it is in the best interest of the community. The forum provided those in attendance an overview of the transaction and the Attorney General’s review process.
The majority of attendees at the forum expressed support for the plan. The Attorney General’s Office will continue to take public comment on the sale until August 10th. You can e-mail comments to firstname.lastname@example.org .
