64 Year-Old Woman Struck by Pickup in Ishpeming

64 year-old woman hit by pickup truck next to the Ski Hall of Fame in Ishpeming, MI

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette County woman was hospitalized yesterday when she was struck by a pickup truck when she was crossing a street in Ishpeming.

The accident happened around noon yesterday on North Third Street near The U.S. Ski Hall of Fame when a 64-year-old woman from National Mine was hit by a southbound pickup driven by a 50-year-old Ely Township man.

The woman was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment and at last report was in critical condition.  The driver of the pickup was arrested for driving on a denied or revoked license causing serious injury, which is a 5-year felony.  He is being held at the Marquette County Jail.

No names have been released as the investigation continues.
