MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The involuntary manslaughter trial of an Alger County man continues today.

48-year-old Thomas Murdock is accused of backing his pickup truck over his girlfriend 44-year Lisa Hardwick, who died at the scene.  The incident occurred in June of last year in AuTrain Township.

According to statements made by both attorneys yesterday in Alger County Circuit Court, the pair had an argument and Hardwick got out of the pickup truck and that is when Murdock allegedly ran her over.  All agree the incident was accidental.

Murdock has also been charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.  Further testimony will continue today.
