MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan’s unemployment rate was up for the third straight month in July. According to the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget, the state’s jobless rate increased four-tenths of a percentage point last month to nine percent.
Michigan’s unemployment rate last month was one and six-tenths percentage points below the state’s July 2011 rate of 10.6 percent.
The state’s unemployment rate in July was seven-tenths of a percentage point above the national rate of eight-point-three percent.
