Marquette Accident Injures Pedestrian

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) –  Marquette City Police are reporting a motor vehicle/pedestrian accident that happened last night around 9:15 at the intersection of South Front and Main Street.

Police say a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Marquette resident was southbound on Front Street when the pedestrian was struck.  the pedestrian, a 60-year-old Marquette resident sustained a possible broken leg and was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.  The accident remains under investigation, no tickets have been issued and no names have been released at this time.
