Nahma boat access closed for dredging

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says the Nahma boating access site on Lake Michigan in Delta County will be temporarily closed for dredging today and tomorrow.

According to project managers with the DNR, the dredging project will create a deeper and wider channel, allowing more convenient access for larger vessels.

The nearest alternative boating access site is Little Fish Dam River, located approximately 7 miles to the east on U.S. Hwy. 2.
