MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police are treating the death of 34-year-old Shawn Dollar of Marquette as suspicious in nature.
Police investigators are considering his death as suspicious because of the way the body was found and the uncertainty of how he died.
Dollar had been last seen in the Marquette area on Saturday, September 8, but had been reported missing last Thursday. His body was located in a vacant building at 231 West Washington Street in downtown Marquette last Friday.
An autopsy over the weekend confirmed the identity of the body. Reports say Dollar died of bodily injury, but not from a gunshot or stab wound.
His death is not currently being considered a homicide.
