MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Authorities in Negaunee are reporting a single-vehicle traffic accident last night on US-41 in front of the Super One Foods store that injured one person.
The accident happened just after 10 p.m. when a car struck a light pole along US-41 head-on. The driver of the car, who has not been identified, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was hospitalized for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver was the lone occupant in the vehicle and there is no word on his condition. The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
