Tilden Township, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police from the Negaunee Post responded to a two-vehicle crash yesterday afternoon in Marquette County’s Tilden Township.

It happened around 12:20 p.m.on Co Rd 581 and Co Rd P-P-L.

Troopers say a delivery truck, driven by 56-year-old James Cornelius of Gwinn, was northbound on Co Rd 581 and was attempting to turn left onto Co Rd P-P-L.

It was struck by a northbound minivan driven by 39-year-old Maria Stanaway of Ishpeming.

Stanaway attempted to pass the truck while it was turning.

After the collision, the minivan went into a ditch and struck a utility pole.

Stanaway received minor injuries and sought her own treatment.

Cornelius was not injured.

Stanaway was found to be at fault in the crash.
