Menominee Man Serving Prison Time for Drunk Driving
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An Upper Peninsula man was convicted of drunk driving one too many times and is now on his way to prison.
A Mackinac County jury found 44-year old Edward Parrett of Menominee guilty of a third offense of operating while under the influence, a second offense of driving with a suspended license, driving with no insurance and possession of open intoxicants.
It was Parrett’s 11th conviction for drinking and driving. State and local police arrested Parrett on September 10, in Mackinaw City after he was caught driving drunk on the Mackinac Bridge.
He was sentenced to 18 months to 5 years in prison.
