MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An effort to replace faded and worn residential emergency signage in Alger County has been started by the County Sheriff’s Department.
The original fire number signs are over 15 years old and have become considerably damaged and worn, making them hard for firefighters to see when they are called to a scene.
Residents can get a new, brighter and clearer sign for their properties by requesting one from the Sheriff’s Department.
According to a press release, the fee for new sign is $40.00, and the department will also help install them as needed. For more information, contact the Alger County sheriff’s Department.
