20th Annual Fire Prevention Week in Marquette
MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The 20th annual Fire Prevention Week in Marquette County will kick off with a display of county fire trucks and a parade tomorrow morning in Marquette.
The display of firefighting apparatus from every department in Marquette County will be assembled at Harlow Park starting at 11 a.m. Sixteen fire departments, EMS, and County Rescue will be there.
Parents and children will be able to tour equipment from their community and others. The static display ends with a parade of fire trucks leaving Harlow Park and continuing down Washington Street.
This year’s Fire Prevention week, themed “Have 2 Ways Out,” will run through October 13 featuring several activities within the community and local schools.
