Marquette County Boy Dead after Head On Collision: Possible OWI

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Wisconsin man is being held on a suspected felony charge of Operating While Intoxicated following a traffic accident Friday night in Marinette County, Wisconsin that claimed the life of a Marquette County boy.

13-year-old Christopher Croley of Ishpeming died from injuries sustained in the crash Friday night on US-141 near Middle Inlet, WI. The driver of the car, 44-year-old Jodi Croley and 17-year-old Taylor Croley and 16-year-old Gabrielle Croley, all of Ishpeming, were taken to a Green Bay hospital with serious injuries.

The accident happened when a pickup truck, driven by 28-year-old Timothy Christ of Wausaukee, Wisconsin collided head on with the Croley vehicle.

Formal felony charges against Christ are being review by the Marinette County prosecutor and the investigation into the accident is continuing.
