Drunk Driver Claims Life of Ishpeming Boy

Drunk driver claims the life of Ishpeming boy

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Wisconsin man is being held on a series of felony charges following a traffic accident Friday night in Marinette County, Wisconsin that claimed the life of a Marquette County boy.

28-year-old Timothy Christ of Wausaukee, Wisconsin was the driver of a pickup that collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Jodi Croley of Ishpeming on US-141 in Middle Inlet, WI. 13-year-old Christopher Croley of Ishpeming died in the crash. Jodi Croley, and her two daughters, 17-year-old Taylor and 16-year-old Gabrielle were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Christ is being held on a total of eight felony counts including homicide by the intoxicated use of a motor vehicle which carries a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.  Reports say Christ had a blood alcohol level of .262 and a previous drunk driving conviction.
