MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan State Police at the Negaunee post say an autopsy has failed to determine the cause of death of a Marquette woman whose body was found last month.
25-year-old Amy Luella Janson had been missing since May. Hikers discovered her badly decomposed body floating in Wetmore Pond in Marquette Township on September 13.
Forensic pathologists conducted an autopsy, but a cause of death could not be determined due to the condition of her body.
State Police say their investigation did not give any indication that Janson’s death was caused by foul play.
